I've had some recent inquiries regarding the cohort. Several have expressed interest in getting together and having some dialogue over the internet regarding emergent conversations. I was thinking about scheduling a meet up in or around Coralville, maybe in early June, and maybe having a Skype conference sometime in May for those who want to participate.

Thanks, Lon. Well, as I said, I'd be interested in something like this, time permitting. I'm a retired Episcopal cleric serving as an interim pastor in Davenport. But I got very interested in the emergent/emerging church while serving as ecumenical officer for our denomination.

I'm definately interested. I haven't used skype yet, and I'm more interested in the face to face stuff - but I'm definately up for June. Anytime during the week works for me really - I think these conversations and connecting with others to bounch thoughts around is important!
Maybe we should meet in Marengo for "theology over Margueritas" given Katie's blog. I could probably convince my wife Susanne (who is an ordained deacon) to come for that!

So, looks like we're not getting a lot of takers here. I would be interested in some conversation though -- either by email or on this site. You know, what were the original hopes for the cohort, what are you two (Lon and Katie) thinking these days about the "emergent conversation," etc. What do you think?
